State Buildings recorded its highest-ever attendance during Perth's annual Doors Open Day, welcoming over 12,000 visitors to explore normally private spaces within their heritage portfolio.

Community Embraces Heritage

The event featured behind-the-scenes tours, heritage craft demonstrations, architectural talks, and historical re-enactments. Visitors explored areas rarely accessible to the public, including restored basements, ornate boardrooms, and rooftop spaces, gaining unprecedented insight into Perth's architectural heritage.

The overwhelming response demonstrates growing public interest in heritage conservation and appreciation for State Buildings' role in preserving Western Australia's architectural legacy.
