Historic Courtyard Becomes Urban Oasis

State Buildings
State Buildings has transformed a formerly neglected courtyard within the heritage precinct into a verdant urban oasis featuring exclusively native Western Australian plants and sustainable landscaping practices.
Celebrating Native Flora
The new garden features over 200 species of WA native plants, creating a botanical showcase in the heart of the city. Designed by award-winning landscape architects, the space includes quiet seating areas, water features utilizing recycled rainwater, and educational signage about local flora. The garden provides a tranquil retreat for workers, residents, and visitors while supporting local biodiversity.
This project demonstrates State Buildings' commitment to creating community spaces that enhance urban environments while celebrating Western Australia's unique natural heritage.
